As indicated this morning, the stain color has been selected and the stain work is now complete. Once the rough sanding, fine sanding and clean up were done, the floors were wet to open up the grain. Then the stain was applied. A very big job. The photo below as shot through a window so it is a bit hazy, but you get the idea. The house is filled with fumes that even oil based enamels didn't create.
The color of the completed stain below is much lighter than it will actually be when complete. The stain gray's out and goes milky once it dries before the first coat of finished is applied. We will have newly finished wood floors before the weekend is out.
